The Aim of our College to help its students in educational,spiritual and moral as well as intellectual and aesthetic values. We strive to reach out to the state of perfection through an earnest academic pursuit for excellence and our efforts blossom into service through our creative and empathetic involvement in the society to transform it.
We train the young minds for better understanding by providing a solid foundation of basic concepts and to kindle the imaginative and creative faculty of learners. Our College

In 1943 it was only a spark in the dark clouds of illiteracy when the challenge was taken up by Haji Abdul Rasheed by starting on English middle school at Salahpur which is a rural site on the historic national highway the G.T. Road, not far from the city. The site is ideal. It has healthy surrounding  and greeneries.The whole set up speaks of the fore sightedness of the founder. Within a short span of six years in1949 the English middle school rose to the status of a  High School and was rebaptised, "Rural High School" a name which projects its objectives more vividly.                    Within two years (1951) it got recognition in Intermediate Literary Group.By the year 1956 the Institution had grown into a complex of literary and scientific streams in high school and  intermediate science .In the institution in 1965 it got recognition in commerce upto H.S. In 1973 the institution has been renamed as M. R. Shervani Intermediate College in the memory of our patron  after his sad demise on April 8, 1981.
